Unique, terroir-driven wines from the best vineyards in eastern Oregon and Washington. That’s what Rasa Vineyards delivers in every bottle and that’s what Rasa’s Managing Partner, Pinto Naravane, will bring to Waypoint Seafood & Grill February 12 when he presents his wines at our monthly Wine Discovery Dinner.
Rasa Vineyards is the manifestation of a dream shared by two brothers – Pinto and Billo Naravane, who serves as the winemaker.
Wine enthusiasts since “forever,” the brothers are avid wine collectors and oenophiles and left the computer industry to form Rasa Vineyards in 2007.
Their goal was simple: produce ultra-premium, terroir specific wines.
Rasa itself is a Sanskrit word that means terroir, chosen thoughtfully by the brothers because “the name encompasses our heritage and our winemaking philosophy.”
Varietals range from a Bordeaux blend, Riesling, Syrah, the Rasa homage to the renowned red wine making Spanish region of Priorat (a blend of Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah), Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Waypoint’s Wine Discovery Dinners pair wine enthusiasts from across the region with unique wines from all over the world, served alongside a specially crafted, seasonal menu.
