Coastal Virginia Magazine Raises a Fork to Waypoint

Executive Chef Kyle Woodruff says he treats every dish – every plate – that comes out of the Waypoint Seafood & Grill’s kitchen as if it was made especially for his own wife and mother.

Coastal Virginia Magazine, formerly known as Hampton Roads Magazine, noticed and we’re pleased to announce that Waypoint was named among the top restaurants in the region in the publication’s 11th Annual Platinum Plate food awards.

“The magic from chef/owner Hans J. Schadler and Executive Chef Kyle Woodruff come alive on the plates in this comfortable fine-dining restaurant that is relatively new to the Williamsburg cuisine scene,” Coastal Virginia Magazine wrote. “The elegant atmosphere and menu—which pulls from local food and foodways heavily—is a true delight and a capstone in Schadler’s 45-year culinary career.”
