Mark your calendars! Save the date! Make your reservation…for January 12, the third annual 2015 Truffle Dinner featuring Chef Carlo Zari.
Chef Carlo brings along his own truffles and the table side shaving of the prized fungus/tuber. Chefs Hans and Kyle from Waypoint will collaborate with Chef Carlo on the menu, with Waypoint taking on the first course, a piedmont style shellfish stew in a spiced pumpkin Nage and Hazelnuts, followed by two Chef Carlo dishes of a homestyle peas soup with truffle shavings, followed by Pasta piemontese al Barolo served with truffles.
Waypoint will present the main course – a fennel dusted slow roasted Duroc Pork Rib Eye with a savory truffle leek bread pudding. Chef Carlo concludes the meal with his famous strawberry pancakes with hazelnuts, Frangelico and whipped Cream.
Jim Hutten from Visa Imports in New York City will select the evening’s extraordinary collection of wines from the Piedmont region.
